This movie was on again last night. I usually watch it when it comes on, not only because it is one of Tom Hanks' best performances of his career, but also because it brings back some memories for me. I had braces identical to the one young Forrest wore on his legs in the movie when I was was a kid. I can watch the movie and laugh about it, but at the same time, I know exactly what a person who had them went through.
What I really wanted to say is that no matter how many times I watch this movie, I always see something each time that I missed before. It is usually something that is hilarious too, so that makes it even better. I have watched this movie several times, and I will likely watch it again the next time it is shown on TV. This is one thing that always makes a movie good to me. I like being able to watch a movie several times and always see something new each time. Books are usually the same way. I usually read a book at least two or three times. You will be surprised how much more you can pick up on the second and even third time you read a book that you missed the first time you read it.

Barb42 (2708) | 2 years ago | I love Tom Hanks. He is such a good actor. He really brings out the character of Forrest Gump. He makes the child-like Forrest grow up to be a responsible person. I loved it when he married the mother of his son. You could tell he adored the boy and truly loved her. But I think I cried, too, when she died. When he kept the boy and took care of him, saw that he went to school after her death, it showed me that anyone can do whatever they set their mind to do. I first watched this movie with our grandchildren, but have watched it over and over on television. It seems new each time simply because Tom makes it is such a believable story.

2. anawar (1088) | 2 years ago | goldeneagle_ Tom Hanks is a superlative actor. I can't think of one movie I didn't like. Wait_ there was one_
I feel bad asking, but am I the only person in the world who hated Forrest Gump? If I heard that quote about the chocolate one more time, the person who told me was about to get a lump!
I watch movies over and over again and see something different too! I thought it was because I had a short attention span, or I was some kind of an idiot, or maybe a memory problem, or maybe_ Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone.
Will you still be my friend, even though I didn't like the movie?

3. ersmommy1 (10471) | 1 year ago | This is why it will always be considered a classic. Tom Hanks is the modern Jimmy Stewart. Forrest Gump makes people truly feel. I don't know many characters in movies that accomplish this. A wonderful movie all the way around.
