Apparently... a family forgot their toddler in the airport in Canada... it was the case of "I thought he was with you"... good thing the airport staff took good care of the boy... i could just imagine how confused he must have been to be there in such a big place all alone...
I remember losing my niece once in the supermarket... but that is nothing compared to this one... i can never imagine what i would do if this would happen to my baby... maybe i would go out of my mind thinking that... am i such a bad mother to forget my child in the airport....
Do you know of the same story?... here is the link...

I should think it would be rather difficult to "missplace" a two year old, but not having children of my own I don't wish to be judgmental. However when I was a teacher entrusted with the care and supervision of 52 elementary students for about 7 hours a day 5 days a week I don't recall having misplaced any of them. I believe I saw more of those kids than some of their parents did, actually.
At first I didn't understand why the family was not seated together, but apparently it had something to do with the fact that their bags were too heavy and they were required to repack, making them late for the flight. People need to plan ahead for this sort of thing and arrive early at the airport to carefully weigh in, especially when they have children.

You did a good job in overseeing those kids... that is why i chose to teach high school students... i am afraid of the responsibility of taking care of a lot of little ones... although i love children... the family is obviously not a frequent flyer... if they were... they would have known before hand the do's and dont's of flying... especially with the baggage weight... thanks for the response...

i remember the movie Home Alone, when kevin left at the airport while his family are busy running due to the time pressure. this will happen if you are pressured. i am also a filipino like the child. I laugh but felt down when i know that the child is one of my co-filipino. if i travel i won't let the time to pressure me so that i am more comfortable on board on the plane.

That is awful. I am glad that the airport staff looked after the little boy untill someone realized he was gone. I always put my neice or nephew in a buggy to make sure they are with me. Now sometimes I will allow my neice to walk but I always make sure she is close by me. Now if the store is crowded. I make her come close by me so i don't lose her.

Your neice is very beautiful... and it is a good idea to always put her in a buggy... especially in places like the airport... i rarely put my baby down when we go to the mall... and does it only when she want to take a little walk... but i still hold her hands... yes... goo thing the airport staff took good care of the toddler... thanks for the response...

oh my goodness i dont want my sister to tell me that whenever we go out with my children specially when my children are still toodlers. i, like you would be going out of my mind if that happens. now that they are all teens i still look around and count them just to make sure we are complete. they are even laughing at me when i do that. not because they are teens does that mean i will not be worried.

i will go insane if this happens. i only have one child so it would be really stupid if we lost him or forget to tag him along. but some parents are not that concern with their child. i've seen some. they would rather go out and have fun than to tag their kids along. so if they go out with their kids they forget that the children are with them for they are used on going out without them. children are children even they are 10 years old or older you need to make sure they are around.

Hello aseretdd,
The same happened to my sister but it wasn't at the airport. We were staying at a hotel not long ago and the children went to a swimming pool and a joining theme park inside the hotel compound. My sister and her five kids (from the age of 3 to 14) and their cousins went there together and not long after, my sister came to the hotel's room, looking for her youngest son. She asked the two elder sisters and they told her that the youngest brother went with one of the aunties and no one seemed to know where the boy was. We went to look for him and I could see how worried my sister was. She tried to calm herself and not to show us her true feelings. Finally, my eldest sister found the boy hiding under the staircase. He was afraid that he just sat there alone, maybe hoping that someone he knows will find him there. Very fortunate that he could remember the lift going up to our hotel's room, next to the staircase. He couldn't read and didn't know the room's number. We were all glad that everything went well at the end.

hello friend,I think this kind of thing happened occasionaly, and i think no any mother want this happened to her.And i hope this is only a story happened in movie. But if this really happen in our life, i think we should keep sober in that big place, for instance the airport. We should ask all the official worker and police for help in that situation. But fortunately, i think there must be a kind-hearted worker in the airport to help the baby.Because in my country, i know this thing happened sometimes,But most part of people can find the lost baby under the police's help in the busy airport or train station or bus station. I believe there is a love in people's heart.

Good luck to all people

If you checked out the link... you will find out that this really happened in real life... the family actually left the two year old in the airport... it is a good thing that the staff were kind enough to take care of him while waiting for someone to pick him up... thanks for the response...
