What did you think of this movie?

Personally I was disappointed with it. Granted it was a good movie with some pretty good effects, and yes it was a good love story if you like that sort of thing, but I am a student of history. I was hoping that it would be a little more historically oriented in addition to the other good qualities it possessed. I was hoping it would tell more of the total story instead of focusing on two or three people. I wonder if the main characters portrayed here were actual people, or just fictional creations of the author to add a story-line to the historical account. As I said, it was a good movie, but overall I was disappointed with it.
