Are Beagles Snippy Dogs? | | Recently a lot of people have told me that Beagles have a tendancy toward biting. My beagle has never really shown signs of this type of behavior she usually hides from strangers. What have you all heard?

They are not just for hunting anymore!!! My nephew carries around my Daisy (full blooded, well bred beagle hound!!!) without a care as to how he holds her up and she has never thought about biting him. With my husband, he gets her wound up, she play-bites, but that is it. She has never broken skin or anything.

She's extremely jealous of other people or pets who get close to us and we think that's why she tends to be a little hostile. But normally beagles are very sweet and love people.
