You appear to be a great magician, who can just make the money disappear. You must be very smart, who knows how and when to spend the money. I hope you would be spending money on something important and useful to both of you. I agree with you that cost of living, now a days, are quite high and it is rising day by day, which makes us difficult to manage our affairs, within our budget. You can keep an account of your spending and can always tell your hubby that where the money actually vanished or elase you can ask him to take charge of accounts and financial matters.

a magician huh?? Never thought about it that way. My husband has NEVER done the bills. He just makes the money, along with me. He always has to ask me if there is money in the bank. After 17 years, he has learned not to question, because he knows I don't spend it on frivolous things. Interesting way to put it though

I HAD that problem. My husband thought it was okay to just go buy what he wanted. So I gave him the "bill" book and said have at it. I helped him through the first month. Then from there just checked on him to see what he did and if he did it right. I'll tell you what it opened up his eyes really quick. Example we have $2,000. worth of bills each month we take home $1800. a month you figure out how to do it. Supriseingly enough he figured it out, with few questions. I do the bills again now but we have changed a lot around too. We actually make enough to pay the bills which really helps. And we have 2 bank accounts - the bill account and the spending account. X amount goes into the spending account out of each paycheck the rest goes to the bill account. It has helped us a lot and we are to the point of saving again.

I'm with you! My Fiance brings home the money and I manage all of our household finances and shopping and before we know it - it's gone! Food especially has gotten to be quite expensive. We eat very healthy and it's easy to watch that money evaporate when your buying Salmon, fresh fruit and vegetables, and organic products.

my wife can make my money, my will-power, and my energy disappear at times...

I try to save money and so does my husband but always there comes up a problem that takes money to fix. Of course my kids think it grows on trees and now that they go out to work for it, they know what i've been saying all these years!!
