Racism

I just believe that there is good and bad in every group of people whether it be race or what career you're in, etc. I don't know why people label others just because one person has to act a fool. For instance, there are good cops and bad cops, there are unethical attorneys and ethical attorneys, there are good black people and bad black people, there are good white people and bad white people, and so on and so on. It just makes me mad when people judge others when they don't even get a chance to know them first.

I'm glad you're still alive. And, you're not alive because you're racist but because you need to live long enough to realize how wrong you are about racism. You also need to live long enough to realize that our own efforts make up about only 30 per cent of our staying alive. The fact that you have encountered people of all races on the street and yet have stayed alive to this day is testament to the fact that you're wrong. Do you think that if any of those people had attacked you and your kids, those keys-turned-into-knives would have saved you? Do you know the number of people with guns, who have lost their lives to bad people of all races? It is your arrogance that makes you racist. By basing your long life on your own efforts, you have exposed what really makes you racist. It is a disease you shouldn't assume everyone else has. I pray that you have long life because one day, you will teach other people not to be racist.

I am not a racist, but I have to say this person is probably alive due to her diligence. She is being realistic. I take precautions like this. This does not mean that if you meet a nice black person that you feel superior to them. It is racial profiling and unfortunately. it is necessary.

I told you that I'd be the ONLY one to admit my feelings. Every other post has said that they are not racist, they love all people and yet these are the EXACT same people who wouldn't be caught dead outside the country club area of town past 9PM. The shootings, rapings, muggings, car jackings and every other crime known to man is what does them in. They want respect, and yet they name their chidlren Da'Franklin Shatquarious or Le'Monade Jaffartious? Get real.

Sorry. Not going to happen. Until I can turn on the news and see more than blacks killing each other and Hispanics knifing one another, I'm going to stay like this. When I turn on CNN or th elocal news and DON'T hear of some black guy offing 4 kids and 5 adults like in Memphis, TN or some Hispanic guy offing his wife and kids because he found the wife sleeping with his best friend, this is all you're going to get.

You're more dangerous than the people you fear. It is Policemen with attitudes like yours that have killed many innocent people out there. The moment they see a black person, they panic and pull the trigger because they hold the kind of beliefs you hold. The 'sorry' that often follows, after reading what you have said here, I find insincere. I have news for you. With your kind of attitude, beware of any preemptive strike you may consider against any person you 'assume' is a threat to your life. There is something called the law. It tries not to be racist. And, if it gets hold of you under the circumstances I have mentioned, you'll add to the statistics you so proudly cited.

We are not racists in nature. It is the environment that we grow into. If you grow were everyone is racist and do not have anything to say about another one's culture then you will believe that it is so. When you come from out that box then you realize that those persons were just doing what they were taught. No one was born to become racist. It is a hatred that is adopted and instil in one from they are young.

MooPile what you are talking is bullsh't. Is it only black's stealing and robbing. My God. Every race in this world has robbers, murders etc. White person are in jail too. Right now do a survey and you will see more blacks working in your country building while you so called white sit and wait for welfare. So you are racist too is that so. I am sorry you go through your life with so much misdirected fear, and hate, MooPile. it has got to make life very unpleasant. Look at statistics involving serial killers, and you will be amazed how big the percentage for white serial killers compared to non-white serial killers is. Also, look at domestic violence statistics, or watch a few episodes of cops if research isn't your thing. White people are every bit as violent as non-white people, depending upon their circumstances. I am very glad to see some of you out there feel about racism the way I do! It gives me a little hope for the future. Let's keep teaching our youth, to value diversity, and to respect culture differences. We can all learn a lot from each other. And of course keep being cautious and protective of yourself, and your children, but don't base your fear on racial bigotry.

I can find you thousands of storeis of black men killing each other. There are far fewer white men/women in trouble than there are blacks. That's the truth.

I didn't sit back on my butt and scream that hundreds of years ago, my German ancestors were wronged by someone in the 1600s so everyone owes me everything.

I'm sure this post too will fall somewhere short of making a point with you, but I can't help but try. I admire in you all the fortitude, and self-worth, and intelligence, that it took you to get where you are today. Nurses are incredible, and indispensable. That said, I admire all those same characteristics in my Hispanic pediatrician, my cousin's father in law, who is a black radiologist, the many people of color who make up our worlds, lawyers, doctors, college professors, elementary school teachers, police officers, military officers, and yes nurses. You can't possibly think, they deserve your ill feelings? And as far as accusing everyone of not admitting that we are racist too, or that we stand behind a facade, please allow us to express our opinions and feelings without telling us we don't mean what we say. We don't say you are lying about your feelings.
