When you watch movies at home, do you TURN OFF LIGHTS?

Of course i turn the lights off...lights are distracting.
To get engrossed in the movie i feel its necessary to do this...and in my case its not tv...its my Desktop pc with 4.1 surround, so its like a miniature theatre right here inside my room!...hurray for technology.

I never turn off lights while watching tv,I find it very difficult to adjust even in movie halls,as a complete dark room with a color television irritates my eyes.It is harmful for my eyes.

Well, I don't like switching off all the lights, but I like it all dimmed and cozy feeling. So I would only keep a small lamp switched on, but the whole area would be dim.:D I like to feel like I'm in a movie theatre I guess.

I like to watch movies in the dark, but not horror movies. Lol

Sometimes at night I will turn the lights off, when there are no kids running around. but most of the time I leave them on, and thats because are bouncing around. lol.

nope i don turn off my lights. my eyes get very strained dur to teh constnt exposure to direct light in teh dark. in the dy i usually pull of my curtains but i don shut off teh light completely.

If I turn off the lights, I suppose it's, if anything, to make it less confortable! On the other hand, I do find it creates a more confined atmousphere, making it feel more personla almost. Of course, when I'm eating ice cream or something with a film, I feel it best to have some light because otherwise you end up with a mess al over yourself and the sofa - unless of course you are very careful, by which point I'd have made it 20 minutes into the film and realise that I have absolutely no idea of what was going on in the film...... but anyway.

I like to have the lights off when I'm on my own and not chucking ice cream everywhere!

I definitely do. However turning off ALL lights makes me uncomfortable as well, so I'll arrange something, like I may turn on a lamp in the next room or I may light a few candles.

yes, of course.. We enjoy watching movies with the lights off! especially when it's a horror movie!:)

I do. I try to turn off all of our lights when they are not in use because it will save us money on our electric bill. I do not like alot of lights on anyway. I like to watch movies when it is dark in the house. The light puts a glare on our television screen anyway.
