How messy is your hamster?  |

|  I recently moved house and the hamster cage had previously been on top of a bookcase. When i moved the bookcase, there was so much sawdust behind it.
Anyone know how to keep this creature under control...?

| |  Under control - That's too funny. I always had the plastic cages back when I had hamsters. But I do remember having to clean the cages about twice a week.
Hamsters are great though! Well worth the trouble!

| |  My creature gets way out of control with the mess also..I don't have a hampster but do have a guinea pig and she is soemtimes more messy then my kids!So if you find out the secret to keeping our creatures under control please let me know...lol

| | I don't think there's an answer to this one I'm afriad. Imagine if you were a little hamster in a little cage ... now wouldn't chucking all your sawdust out seem like fun? :-)
How about putting the cage inside a larger tray? Then the sawdust would remain stuck inside something and you could recycle it back into the cage. | | | | | | |
