Sherlock's big day, do your pets act similar?

When I had my dog he used to go with me to my parent's too..for the weekend. And how he loved going to grandpa and grandmas...my mother especially spoiled him and my dad is the one who taught him to speak and shake hands. (that took alot of hot dogs)...he would sleep the whole 200 miles it took to get home and once here he would go lay on his blankee....and stay there for the best part of another day!

Aaaah that is just so cute. My dogs were too big to ever do that but I have a photo of them after they got back from the lake one day sleeping back to back on the sofa and they look like two bookends bless so I can imagine how Sherlock looks now. Thank you for sharing, it made me smile. Ellie:D

We could never leave Ivan with anyone.. he is only a one family dog, and has a vicious temper for a tiny chihuahua.. it is funny.. he acts like he will eat anyone up.. but if they came at him he would just back up.

that is so nice to hear that today you got your permanent bridge put in. whoo hoo! i have a Dentist appointment myself scheduled for next Tuesday and i cannot wait to go see about getting another partial done. and yes, usually my dog, Doughnut doesn't get to go anywhere away from home, but if she does, my oldest son will sometimes take her with him to spend the night and the next day when she gets home, she doesn't know what to do next. pets are so so funny. next Tuesday one of my girlfriend's is going to go to the Dentist with me and after the Dentist appointment, we are going to stop and eat lunch somewhere that day. yum. i think we might be hitting the Chinese Buffet.

My "Baby" never leaves the house except for every once in awhile.. And anytime anything whatsoever disturbs her day of rest and relaxation, she is so very tired.. We have taken her to visit a few times, but by the time we got back home, you would have thought she had worked for 48 hrs in a row, she is so very tired and all she wants to do is sleep.. She stays home by herself all day while we are gone and by the time we get back home she is all over us, until she gets someone to stop and pet her.. It is miserable to try and bring the groceries in the house as she is underfoot and will not stop.. We also have to wait until we get our arms emptied and take her to the yard to pet her as she gets so excited, she pees all over everything.. We found this out after having to have the sofa cleaned..

My sister has a chihuahua and a big woolly cat, and when she and her hubby go away on a holiday they check the cat into a cat motel and leave the dog with a friend who has about half a dozen other little dogs.

The cat hates the motel, and the dog loves his little friends.

So when she and hubby return from holidays, both the cat and dog give her the cold shoulder treatment for a few days - the cat, because of being left in that motel all alone, and the dog because she took him away from all his little play-friends!

Seems she just can't win!

I occasionally take my Cat Prissy to my mom's when I spend the night. She will check every nook and cranny out and is a little busy body before she will settle down for a nap she has to feel safe and comfortable I guess. But still I think she gets excited because it is something different then her usual routine.

He sounds like a very cute dog. I do not take my pets anywhere, and since they are cats, they nap whenever they want to . It is very cuddly around here now. The long haired one is just like a little baby.

Oh yes Gissi certainly does because he is to busy running round and exploring getting attention so by the time we get home he gets on hisSettee and starts snoring lol

Gosh, you should do that more often! It would have been very good for him. They do have doggy daycare centres for this very reason, and if I had a dog, I'd be sending them along. They socialise and get plenty of exercise, meaning they aren't so hyper when you get home from a hard days work. They just sit there and actually behave! lol.
