Strange eating habits

My 14 year old cat, Gracie, has rarely shown any interest in eating what I eat. I got up from the table today and left my plate which had contained a salad, but now only had a little smear of salad dressing and tomato juice in it.
The next thing I knew Gracie was licking the plate clean. What a strange thing for a cat to eat! Do all cats sometimes crave things they wouldn't normally eat?

Sometimes cats eat strange things... my old roommates' cat used to eat fruit and vegetables. He stole my blackberries once! My cats are pretty picky eaters. They like to steal my boyfriend's milk and ice cream, as well as ranch dressing.

LOL No I don't thing she's pregnant. She's 14 years old and I had her spayed after her first litter. That is kind of what's bothering me. She hasn't done this since she was pregnant. When she was pregnant she would sit and beg like a puppy when we were eating. But after the kittens were weaned she stopped doing that.
