Bitter attitude sweetened. | | 'Much received' the title of the story I have read last last Monday. This was supposed to be my topic for our Tuesday prayer meeting and i was not able to present it due to emotional problem encountered by my sister. Much received was a story of a young boy a 20 year boy who had deliberately dropped a brick from a highway overpass that went through the windshield of a car driven by a woman. That brick hit and split open to a woman's face that put out her right eye and teeth destroyed. Huh! That painful incident leads to painful surgeries to realign what has been damage on her face. The young boy that time could have expected that woman to have vengeful attitude. But even as the woman awaited for the paramedics, SHE PRAYED for the grace to forgive the perpetrator. She was lead to ask the Judge to give the young boy a second chance and the boy was sentenced to 90 days. The woman was still able to give a gift. And the boy took it to his fullest, that he was thankful of the woman being a CHRISTIAN. If the woman was not a Christian, she could bitter revenge on the young boy. I was blessed by the woman response in spite of what happen to her face. And I thankful that it was not happen to me. If it so, i don't know if we could have same response. I hope that young boy, would take the situation as his turning point to receive Jesus Christ to be his personal Lord and Savior. Many times also I was thankful to God that I too a Christian already. Many hurting moments that leads you to revenge in the past but now lessen. Thanks be to God that He changed me from bitter to better and the story inspired me. All Christians should be thankful that it was written in 2 Corinthians 5:17 ' Therefore, if anyone in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! Our bitter attitude will be sweetened by God's Grace. Have a honey attitude always! God Bless

Me, i admit, it took long time to forget the hurting moments in the past. But now, by grace of God, i just laugh every time i remember the past. Have a nice day to you!

I forgot the verse but how i understand it is that you have received much so much is required also. We received Jesus with the assurance of forgiveness of sin, assurance of answered prayer, assurance of salvation and now eternal life awaits in heaven for you to enjoy and that is i think that is Much we Receive. So with this Much, He requires us also to do same to others. Jesus suffered and died on our behalf so must we for the lost and dying people. And it takes Grace do good on person who did hurting you. Have a blessed day!
