Is 'the secret garden' a book?

yes it's an English book about a little girl who lived in India with her parents (it's set about the turn of the 20th century when we still had the British Raj) and her parents die of cholera so she has to move back to England with an uncle she's never met. They live in a big house on the Yorkshire moors, and she has a cousin who is always ill and in bed and can't walk. She also meets the house maids little brother and he helps her to appreciate nature and the moors around her, and they discover a walled garden that has been locked for years because her aunt died in there in an accident, they tend the garden and play there basically. I read it when I was a child and really liked it it is well written and I would recommend it it's by Frances Hodgson-Burnett if you want to find it.

I have not come across that book, but would love to read it. I love anything that has to do with plants.

i haven't read the book yet, and actually its my first time to know that book title. based on the responses i read from your post i bet this book is a good one. hope to read this book someday.

Yeah it's a book on which a few films have been based. There was a Disney one out a few years ago. The book is a classic and one of my all time favourites.
