Dear Eagle.......this is indeed an interesting Topic.
Why do you feel that Silence is Violence. I find that statement most Curious......
I don't like Lonliness, But I am Blessed with a Wealth of Friendship; therefore, I have Never truly experienced Lonliness.....even in very Dark Moments I was still not alone. In times that I wanted to be alone....my friends were and are ALWAYS by my Side. They are My Strength.I cannot state that enough!
I believe in Meditation. To escape the Many thoughts which run Rampant in My mind, ie....Bills, Family, School etc...etc....
I think there is a Vast difference between Lonliness, and Being Alone.
I choose to Be alone when I meditate.....I am someone whom distracts easily,
But as I have said before.......I am Fortunate to have never experienced Lonliness. Fantastic Topic!

I don't realy understand you post, from my point of view you are saying: do you like being lonely and is being quiet rude or is it good.
Well i like silence but i like talking too but sometimes i just don't want to talk to certain people. I don't realy mind if people don't realy talk that much, sometimes i like it because some people have cannons instead of mouths. xD

I'm what some might call a 'loner' by nature. I like my own company. As a child I could spend hours alone, in my room (or on the stairs... don't ask) reading, writing or actually just thinking. Of course, I still loved being with my friends and doing the fun, messy and silly things that children do...

And I'm exactly the same way now... only I have a laptop and my own flat.

Silence in violence? How so? I've always found that silence is beautiful, peaceful, simple and an aid to meditating on worldly matters (loud music, for me, is an aid to spiritual meditation... yes, I'm odd).

Spring and early summer here have been amazing, and I've spent ours out in the woods, alone, just... sitting and thinking, writing and drawing... contemplating the world around me.

But of course, we are by nature social beasts. Even I Sometimes seek out the company of my friends.

Sometimes I like to be by myself just because I like to think about things, nothing in particular, just things.

earlier today i would have loved some silence.

I am pretty strange in the fact that as much as i love my family i could seriously also be pretty happy as a hermit.

I lived alone for over a year and a half and I sometimes very much miss that ability to be able to do something without distractions or judgement from others.

Of course now i would miss my hubby and my kids terribly if they weren't here and maybe i would be more prone to lonliness...but i am never lonely at the present time, i can't even go to the bathroom without a little company!!

i dont like being lonely. that is sad.
but i would rather be alone and happy and content with myself, rather than be with other people i dont like and become miserable.
so it all depends on the situation and how you feel about it....

Not to sound like I don't like people,in fact,I'm too friendly.But there are times I feel you've got to stay alone.I think it helps me to reason properly and re-visit my previous activities to take stock of myself in other to know where I'm heading to.However,I advice we don't excercise it so much to the dislike of others.
