Residents that live in Chorlton , Manchester are baffled at how the city council havecome up with those that live ont eh odd-numbered side of Stratton Road with a 30mph limit whereas those that live on the opposite side of the road are limited to 20mph!!
If your baffled, imagine haveing to live on the road!! A resident said 'Its quite ridiculous.' The council's spokesman said the mistake would be 'rectified as soon as possible.'
Can you imagine if this happened on the motorway?? ha ha

How stupid, they've made a short stretch of road on my route to work 30mph from 40mph. Yet the speed limit on the other side of the road is unchanged! Where is the logic in that?

Thats so when your travelling to work you have to go at 30mph to mind all the children, but when you come home you can drive at 40mph to rush home and cookk tea for dearly beloved!!
They also know what your driving is like and thats you like to use children as skittles!!! hahahaha
Complain to the council or send a letter to the DVLA. Ive never noticed stuff like this, being a non-driver I have no need!!
It is bizarre that in the same road they have different speed limits!!

Ha, how funny, I used to go to school in Chorlton!!! It is a bit strange though, having 2 speed limits, that is the council for you though I guess.

I've neer heard of two speedlimits like this, but I have heard of speed traps, where te limit drops 10 or more miles per hour, before the person has a reasonable chance to slow down. My husband and I got caught in one of those. Very annoying!!
