I uninstalled Skype today!

My partner has been talking about installing Skype but as yet he hasn't. We tend to get enough hassle with scammers and junk mail without opening the way for more.

The first thing I did on Skype was set it up so that noone could contact me unless they were in my address book. If someone needs to get in touch, their name come sup and i can decide whether I want to add them or not. In all the time i've had it, I've not had one person try and contact me that I didn't know. I guess those who are trawling the net for dubious ends can't be bothered with that, which suits me just fine! I find Skype invaluable. I've attached my webcam & it means that my family get to see my kids even though I love a long way away.

I've never had skype though I've heard of it before, and wasn't sure how it worked, but glad to know this about it, so I know I won't be using that. So thanks for the info.

My partner has Skype, but for some reason, he hasn't been using it and he paid a small fortune for it too!!!! You need to get a firewall blocker that will stop those naughty ladies trying to lure you away from Mylot!
