Do you need an alarm to wake up?

In times where I need to get up in a particular time, I do really need an alarm clock. But many times, I don't need an alarm clock. Our alarm clocks are our roosters who blow it early in the morning at an hour interval. That's the beauty of having chicken as animals near the home. It helps as alarm clock in many areas in the mountain provinces in the country.

Yes, I need the alarm very much. Because every evening, I like watch TV and surf the internet, and after I finish all the things, it's very late usually. For I can get up and go to work, I use the alarm to wake up, that's useful.

i still go to school so i need to wake up early in the morning, i tried using the alarm once and it was either i never woke up but since the snooze button was already turned off i probably woke up turned the alarm off and went back to sleep i ended up not going to school... so my mom wakes me up now...

I have a radio alarm. It can play the radio for up to 2 hours after starting. I don't use it to wake up but just to listen to the news. You see I'm always awake before the alarm goes off. If I need to get up at a completely different time all I have to do is think about that the night before. Just before falling asleep I'll sort of "tell myself" to wake up at xx time. And it happens. This works everytime. I told a friend how to do it. It worked for her right away too.

I do put the alarm every night. But I think I have an inbuilt clock because I get up before the alarm rings everyday.

No,I don't need an alarm at all.I can wake up everyday around 6:30 in the morning.I think that's my internal alarm work.
Same as you,I do need an alarm if I need to get a little earlier than usual,or if I slept late last night,I do need an alarm to wake me up.

Without clolc alarm I may sleep until noon.On working days,I often set the alarm half an hour before the appointed time and alarmed each 5 minutes in order to prevent me from falling in asleep again.

It's really quite amazing how accurate our "internal clocks" can be.

If I need to wake up at, say, 6:00 a.m., then I'll set the alarm clock for that time.

But I'll generally wake up at about 5:59 a.m., in just enough time to turn the alarm off as soon as it turns on.

Are we tuning into something around us, like maybe the oscillations in the alarm clock's electronics, or is there something else going on?

I'd guess that we're way more aware of or surroundings than our conscious selves seem to know.

I don't hae an alarm clock. My cellphone will wake me up. Everyday it will ring twice in two different time as I set. So that I won't miss the ring and I must wake up at last.

Nope, just like you, i wake up as usual, for my normal timings. I got used to sleeping at a particular time, and getting up at the same time. But of course if i ot something else n gotta wake up early, then i have to use an alarm
