My hubby is sitting at the kitchen table eating some cherries with my daughter. It really is a treat, given the high cost of things these days. She is getting the hang of dealing with the pits. Do you like cherries? How do you eat them?

My kids love fresh cherries. I cut them in half for my daughter and takeout the pits. My son though loves to just pop them in his mouth and spit the pit out onto a napkin. I do not buy them all that often since they cost so much normally. My daughter does get her dried cherries though. She goes through about a bag every few weeks.

I have had those bing cherries before. They aren't bad. I usually have cherries from my tree in the backyard. They are called West Indian Cherries. The tree was in season a week ago, I fed quite a few of them to my Japanese Kois and had some of them myself. I also put some in a glass and took a picture. Gonna post it here!

I love cherries! I love the black cherries though I can eat them by the pound. I stay away from the red ones because they are just a mite bit to tart for my taste. My neighbors have a cherry tree in thier backyard that the kids attack(with permission)every year. Of course they love warheads and sour things. I love cherry flavored things as well. Love It!!MMMMM! I usally just cut them in half take out the pit and pop it in.

I love cherries, but because of their high price, I too rarely eat them. I love to just keep them in the refrigerator and snack on them in the evening after dinner. Kind of a desert I guess you would say.
