I have a very old bottle and I want to get all of the wax out of it and have no clue what to do to get it out. It is a glass bottle that I am cleaning up for a collection that I am starting. Thanks SO much for your time to help me out.

If you freeze it the wax hardens and comes out easily! I do it with containers that candles have been in....and it pops right out.

I was scared to freeze the bottle because it is SO old. I actually put it in the sink with VERY hot water and I was able to pry it out with a knife. Now I have to just soak the rest of it off of the bottle. Thanks.

What my grandma has always done is to pour boiling water over it to soften it. She lets it cool and then takes a sharp knife to the wax. hope this helps.

I would try hot water. That should loosen up any dirt but also soften up the wax as well

Hello, newbie here, just put water with dawn dishdetergent in bottle, let soak and wax should pop loose. Always works for me. Have a good day. Jensewsew
