Do you "spam" spammers?

We all get those annoying e-mails, delete them and they just come back with a different e-mail addresss. But do you spam back? I do, why not? Sometimes I don't see their useless e-mails after that. Maybe they've latched onto another e-mail address I've sent them, either way it works for me. How about you?

Nice! Well, thats a way to deal with those spammers. Makes them think twice to spam you again dont they? or else they are the ones who will get their inbox full of spam from the people they spam.^_^ I delete them too. I dont even botehr reading them unless Im waiting for a confirmation mail from a site that I joined. They are annoying and they are such a waste of time but I guess nothing beats getting some of their own medicine huh? They better beware of you now. Goodluck!^_^

It gives me a small amount of glee to do it. I also send back junk mail in my mailbox to the people who sent it.

I have done this before. once with an email stating that I am part of a settlement of an estate in Europe somewhere...and my name popped up as a family member...the funny thing is it was a mass email and the names on the email were not even similar.... So I wrote them back and nasty little letter about attempting to steal information from people for some type of scam. Stop receiving those emails shortly after.

I like to clog their email box with unsubscribe requests. I can send the same email to them 300 times and completely jams them up. I see nothing wrong with reverse spamming - especially if it is something that I am not even the least bit interested in or if they bought my address from someone. The worst are the ones that are targeted at older people and promise them huge amounts of money if they are willing to pay a small processing fee. To some people $200.00 might not sound like a lot but to some it is a fortune. Likewise, they might not know it is a scam or might just have wishful thinking that it might work and be the end of their money problems. Sadly, it never works out that way.

I do feel sorry for the older generation because they are so trusting, somebody will pay for fleecing the elderly. I had to change my profile on hotmail, I'm a 13 year old girl now, no more penile enlargement e-mails for me.

Hello, gitfiddleplayer. I had never heard about back spamming somebody. It is an awesome idea that seems to work well. People are usually filling your mailboxes with their products that they want to sell, or with useless information that they just send to bother you. But when you start back spamming, I bet they get surprised. Thanks for this idea, my friend. I will wait for somebody to spam me. And then, they will know the spam master. The next time they open their mailboxes, there will be no more space to receive any more mails. All filled by Munhozmib. Munhozmib here, there, and on the other side of the avenue. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

I originally did that, but I later found out almost all of the spammers use phony e-mail addresses. In one case, another spammer apparently used my address for his message, because I kept getting "unsubscribe" messages. I normally copy the spam messages to spamcop.net, which can trace the real ISP from where the e-mails originated and report them.

I guess I have never really thought about doing that, but it does sound kind of funny. What kind of things do you send them back? There have been many times I have gotten those and I have wanted to send something sarcastic back. Like those letters from Kenya asking me to front some money so that they can get their millions that they want to share with me. I feel like asking them to send me a toe for collateral, or something weird like that, or perhaps saying that if I do this they will have to marry me in Las Vegas at the Elvis chapel, wearing a feather boa.

Going to the chapel and we're gonna get...... that's funny. I just send them back stuff from other spammers so they will start targeting them, its so much fun.

No, I put my hotmail on sending all email to the junk folder UNLESS they are on my approved list. It helps a lot cos all it goes to the email, hahahaha. I don't usually spam them it's not worth my time at all. I'll usually report them right away with the junk button. Pablo

I have emailed some of them back before, but it always comes back undeliverable. I can't stand those ones that say they are from a Christian person who wants to send you money. I wrote back and asked them if they realize how many other people send me the same email? I said things like "What makes you think I'm stupid enough to believe this? Do you think every person who has a computer and email address is dumb, or what?" I get it all out of my system, send it, and it comes back to me. Darn. Haha.

Interesting idea. I usually just hit delete. I guess everything else is too much work. For a while I ripped up and mailed back the junkmail in the regular mail. It's so convenient because they have those little free return envelopes... But again, too much work and just doesn't give me enough satisfaction for that.

In all honesty Ive never thought of that. Haha what a great idea. I wonder what they would think of then. and or if they even check those emails. I k now some times if people get viruses though that their email is often used as a their party spammer. I know that happened to me once where my outlook was sending out these forwards that I wasn't sending. Nasty virus. Thanks for the idea :D I'll be sure to give it a shot.
