Do you have a favorite coffee mug?

I just can't get going until that first cup. I think a lot of folks are like that. So every morning I make my way out to the espresso machine to kick start my day. I always grab my favorite mug. I don't know if it is habit or if it's just that I hate change, but I use the same mug everyday. So how about you? Do you use the same mug everyday? If so, why is it your favorite?

First off, I swear I have replied to a lot of your discussions, may I friend you?
Second, I looove coffee. My favourite mug is stripey. I don't HAVE to use it though. I'm not sure why it's my favourite, just the size and pattern I suppose.

I use a sturdy glass "Bodum" brand mug. I like it best because it has just the right volume. And it sits comfortably in my hand. The right volume is important because I don't want to have to go back for another one straight away. The right fit is important because I hate those mugs where your fingers don't fit into the handle or just the opposite slip out. Unless you actually drop them on concrete they can stand a lot and can last for years and years.

Oh, you are so right. I have a couple of cups that after I used them a couple of times I realized they were too big and my coffee got cold before I drank it all or too small and didn't hold enough. It's hard finding just the right cup.

I collect Stitch (from Disney's "Lilo and Stitch") memorabilia and I have quite a few Stitch mugs. One of them in particular is my favourite. He's on a little surfboard on the handle. It's a big mug because I like a bucket of tea or coffee in the morning and it's a bright way to start my day. I also love my other Stitch mugs and my "Nightmare Before Christmas" ones, but that's probably my number 1.

I always pick out the mugs I use. Nobody else knows exactly what I want so I can understand this.

Yeah, I have a favorite. It says on the outside... The Rules: If it's empty, fill it. If you open it, close it. If it howls, feed it. If in doubt, do it tomorrow! I love that mug!

I'm not one that can drink coffee everyday, because my body can't tolerate it. But I do have my own special mug. I will get my panties all in a wod if someone uses it.
My favorite mug is one I got through wood badge (A Boy Scout program for adult leaders) The mug has my name on it and the unit I was in.

Well I can understand why a personalized mug would be your favorite.
I don't have any like that.

My favourite coffee mug is the mug that I got from The Second Cup here in Guelph, just before I flew to Arizona, for half a year. I knew that I would miss my favourite cafe, so I made sure to take a mug with it. It was sure nice to have.

That's cool, little reminder of home is always a great thing. I know if I was traveling for a prolonged period I would surely have my favorite cup with me.

Well, as it turns out, we have some similarities after all apart from liking coffee. I do have a mug which I want to drink my coffee from all the time and it's my own special mug which makes coffee taste great. Maybe I am just kidding myself but drinking coffee from any old mug does not do it for me. I need my mug.

I am like you, I can't get going without my coffee. My daughters make jokes about how you can tell if I haven't had my coffee yet.
Years ago my daughter gave me a coffee mug as a gift. She told me I could drink my coffee while writing my stories. I have alot of coffee mugs. But that one is my favorite.

My favorite mug is a clean one! Actually, i do have a favorite mug. It is pink with a wide mouth. I got it from Caribou coffee. It is very heavy duty so you could never burn your fingers with the hottest coffe and it holds alot of coffee, and I think it's fun to drink out of it.

Well, well, well. I have a few mugs around because I collect mugs...not the ordinary ones. But yes, I have this mug that I always use, eventhough I still have a choice, I still prefer to use this particular mug. This mug is red with name at its side "nescafe" in Chinese character. It's a collectors item. I wish to have more with other languages. LOL. Take care =)

Collecting mugs is pretty cool. I have enough without being a collector, though.
I wouldn't know where to keep them all. I do have a few that are favorites, though.

The first thing I do is get my big mug of coffee in the morning, so I understand! Yes, I have a large mug I purchased in Florida years ago at the Rainbow Cafe. It is roughly equivalent to two cups of coffee. It's bright blue with a parrot on it. The handle is just right and I don't feel afraid that I'll lose my grip.
Great question!

hmmm....coffee drinkers seem to be like the three little bears. Not too big, not too little, but just right.
