My Great Uncle just passed away...  |

|  My great uncle, my paternal grandma's brother passed away about four hours ago. It's sad that I can't see him. He went back to the United States a couple of months ago to seek professional medical help for his cancer (of the pancreas). He died in the US. I am not sure whether his family will bring him home here in the Philippines. I hope they will.
He would often look for me when I couldn't attend some family gatherings because of my work. He is one of my biggest fans. Maybe because he was one of those people who patiently took care of me when I was younger. Of course I couldn't remember all those moments because I was too young. I think I was two or three years old. But my parents always tell me how happy he was to kiss me goodbye before leaving for work and how excited he is to drop by the house when he comes home from work. He would often play with me first before heading to their house. When I got older, I rarely saw him as he spent most of his time in the United States.
Yes, I am sad that he is gone. But I am happy that his suffering is over and that he is free!
So long... Until we meet again...

My Uncle is in critical condition in the hospital in NY right now , not sure if he is going to make it.

But its good that you remember all these nice times you had with him and that you are comforted thinking of all these memories you have. I had such a super great uncle too, he lived far away but visited us now and then and it always was a special time to have him around.

| |  I am very sorry to hear that your uncle passed away also. He is in a much better place now though. He does not have to suffer anymore. None of his family has to watch him suffer any longer either. It is always hard to let someone go though. I hope you and your family can find peace within. Bless you.

| |  I am so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it must be for you. I must say though I am glad you look at it as an end to his pain and suffering. So many people forget that when the person is gone then so are all their ailments. I know the hardest part though was not being able to see him before he passed. You have my deepest sympathy.

| |  My condolenses to you and your family. I was close like this with my grandpa when I was young. I believe his spirit watches over me.
Everyone says I was his favorite and even when he was dying that he would not let them take me from his room or his bed. Just where I wanted to be that was okay with him. He died with me sleeping right beside him.
I believe you can talk to him just as you talk to anyone else in a room with you. His easrthly body is in the US. His spirit is with you.
