I started doing things that were environmentally friendly 'accidently'.
I hate having stinky trash, so I started composting and reduced my outgoing waste by more than half. I started using cloth grocery bags because I got sick of the plastic ones break and hated how they cut into my hands. I started using more environmentally friendly cleaners (vinegar, baking soda, etc.) because they don't bother my allergies. I started conserving gray water and monitoring my water use because we were in a drought and I wanted to save money on my water bill and still have happy plants. I started rinsing cans and giving them to my mom for recycling.
When I realied that the things I was doing for personal gain were also helping the environment, it caused a bit of happiness. :)

Thats good to hear. My town had a recycling area years back but when people were not useing it enough they decided to not have it anymore. They tried it again just recently and theirs so much more people recycling I doubt they will decide to do away with it. Its good to see so many people helping the environment.

I enjoy helping the environment, especially planting and seeing my plants grow.

I try to help the environmen in the best ways that Ican. There are some things that just aren't pratical for me to do, but I don't worry about them, as long as I am doing my best.

Yes, I enjoy helping the environment. In a way, by sending used newspaper, aluminium cans, plastic bottles, .....for recyling, we help to keep the environment clean. On the other hand, we earn a little money and show a good example for our children.
