Do you cover your windows at night, or you don’t care if others can see you?

I cover my windows at night. I always feel like someone is watching me if I don't.

All of my windows are always covered. I don't really live in a dangerous neighborhood or near a big city, but I'm just weary. I live across the street from an apartment complex, so I just don't know who lives over there and what kind of people they are.

the blinds in my room stay drawn all the time. I open the ones in the living room sometimes. I like the living roomblinds because i can see out of them and no one can see in.

I wouldn't feel safe either. I live in a small community, not pure rural but it's far from city life.

I always cover my windows at night! Not just for sleep (to keep out light), but it's creepy to think people can watch me as they pass by - especially since that's what I do! lol I always notice houses without covered windows, it practically screams look inside!

As for my window treatment, just a simple pull-down curtain shade. It's thicker than some, keeps out more light. I like it really dark when I sleep!

The only time i close my windows is when i'm watching a movie other than that i don't really care, but then again i live in a fairly safe country so i never really had the need or feel the need to be more cautions.
To get an idea how safe the place i live in his people usually leave their home keys on the outside of the door, don't lock cars etc, though when i'm in Lisbon i woudn't leave my keys outside or leave my car unlocked:p

Well since I live in a city type environment and across the block from me is a tall apartment building I do appreciate my privacy...I have blinds up on my windows for a sense of privacy. Now if I lived in the country it would be different...I would love to have an almost all window type thing to get a view of all my surroundings

Almost everyone in my street used to cover windows at night. Previously some did not, and there was an instance of a thief entering one house recently! So, nowadays everybody invariably close their windows.

I definetly close my drapes or blinds. To many people use that kind of stuff to see what you have in your house or apartment. Trust me on this lol. Years ago I used to be a thief, I wouldnt commit burglery but I had friends that did. One of the things they would look for is houses like that. If you stood outside, and didnt get to close, with the lights on people could not see you out there. They would then case the place seeing what they wanted, then watch the house for a week or two, learn the peoples patterns and then break in one night, or even sometimes during the day.

I have blinds and they are always down. In the living room we
have curtains and keep them pulled together. I don't know how well anybody could see in because we have no close neighbors
and are back off the road. In the back there's woods so we live in a pretty secluded area. Still I just prefer them closed.

I always have to close my curtains first before putting on the light, even once the light goes on I always have to double check to see If Ive closed them properly If I see a slight opening there I quickly close it, even though theres only a millimeter gap there I still think people can see in lol, even if I need to open the front door at night, I turn the light off first so no one can see inside my house and what belongings I have, you have to be careful these days with all the house break ins! especially when you live on a buy road! I've always wondered why people dont have curtains and have their door wide open when the lights are on, I think that would be setting yourself as an open target!
