Do you hide behind your identity?

I was wondering if people hid behind their identity? Are you completely honest on here to the point you would not want your real life friends and family to know the things you say here? Do you think some of the things you do open up about on here will later in life bite you in the butt? Or do you Give complete honesty here and not care what your friends and family think? Or do you just give out enough to answer the questions without giving too much of your real self to mylot?

I am a closet type of person. I don't like to share too much about myself with those that I know personally. Why? I never know when that person will become my worst friend.
I was betrayed in school once and that was enough for me to worry about being betrayed the second time.
I do trust my friends but I don't share all personal details, plus most don't really care. They just want the juice and gossip anyways.

I know what you mean about friends that turn out later to be unworthy of your friendship. I have three best friends. My husband, my mom, and one girl whom I met at work a long while back. We know to much about eachother to ever be enemies lol. I do not open up easily either and have real trust issues. I guess that is why it makes it easier to be so open and honest on here. I am an honest person in real life too but I don't want all my family to hear as much honesty as I share here I guess.

ooh, that is so true.
i am the same way. On here there is so much more honesty because I don't see them face to face so ican spill my guts.
But in person, I hold back alot- trust issues.
well don't we have soemthing in common.

I am always completely honest on here, though I will confess to occasionally being concerned what friends or family might think if they read some of my responses.
It's all very well for me to be open and honest about myself... but sometimes I may give a little too much info on others who are close to me.

I agree though, I probably wouldn't invite my closest friends for that reason. They might be a little shocked by some of the things I say.

I know what you mean. I also am completely honest on here but I did not invite my family to be on here because I don't really want them to know some of the things I have done. I won't lie if they ever ask me but why tell if they don't ask. I try not to give out to much personal stuff about my friends and family on here when I share my experiences with other but sometimes you just can't help it.

everything i said in my thousand and so discussions are completely true,,BUT!!
nobody in my family knows about me been HABICHUELO here in mylot. So......
makes me feel like "Super Man".LOL!!!!!!

If any family members joined here, would be sending an urgent message to administration to delete a lot of what I've said here! I do share a lot more here than I do outside of mylot, alot of times it's the things I can't say to my family and friends. Mylot is my outlet, my private little place in the world where I can come to open up to people who actually act like they care.

That is how I kinda feel about my lot as well. It is so good to have a place to vent, talk, and explore others views. mylot is awesome and thank you for sharing your thoughts with me.

Since joining mylot I have always honest. I believe in honesty in my life and if you practice it well being in mylot writing stuff it will all come out.

It is good to be honest. I always try to be honest, but somethings I don't want my family to know. I won't lie to them but I have a don't tell unless asked policy with them. I am totally honest on my lot and share all my life experiences maybe that is why I don't invite my family on here lol.

cause I didn't have anything that I don't want someone know.

That is very good. I have a past that although I am not ashamed of it, I don't really want my family to know everything I did as a youngster.
