Does your child act like a mom? |
|
My little girl acts like a mom. She does all the things that I do around the house. She loves to organize and help me clean. She loves to work on her computer, just like mommy. She even takes care of her dolls just the way I take care of her.
If she sees another child misbehaving, she tells them to calm down and behave.
She is always telling everyone in the house to behave. She keeps our cats in line when they argue. She doesn't like anyone to disagree over anything.
She's going to be such a great mom when she grows up. I just know it! I am going to be such a lucky grandmother and have the best behaved grandchildren.
Does your child act that way?

1. SViswan (4201) | 2 years ago | lol..my older son's like that. My husband thinks I'm making him a wimp! BUt he's not like that. He's just responsible....and I have to admit that I am his role model. I can't help it if daddy wasn't around to be a role model(not that he's much of one...and I'm glad he wasn't around then) when older son was younger! I just hope he continues this way and makes some girl really happy:) I can see the younger one is not like that and has a mind of his own.

beautyqueen26 (9134) | 2 years ago | It's so wonderful to hear that your older son role models after you. It's always a mother's dream come true when her children follow her path.
As for your younger child, please have no worries. Often a younger child will purposely choose to be the opposite from the older sibling, so that he or she will stand out and be noticed. It's nature's way of survival.
Most likely, our next child will be much different than the first, personality wise.
I am sure your younger child will find the right path, soon! Be well and thanks for sharing your mom wisdom.

SViswan (4201) | 2 years ago | It's not as bad as I thought at first:) He's just different. The older one thinks like me too and it's easier for me to relate to him....while I have to make the effort to understand the younger one because he's different. But he's not as troublesome as some other kids I've seen. So, it's all good.

2. gemini_rose (10149) | 2 years ago | My daughter is 2 and she loves to boss her brothers about, she is very bossy with everyone actually when she wants to be!!
If she sees children outside being naughty or having a tantrum then she will tut at them and tells me that they are naughty babies, even though she is the best at throwing a tantrum!!

beautyqueen26 (9134) | 2 years ago | I giggled when I read your story. What a cutie! That reminds me of my daughter so much. She can also throw a mega sized tantrum when she wants. But, her heart is pure gold. Thanks for sharing your story.

gemini_rose (10149) | 2 years ago | While I was on holiday, she had a huge tantrum in the street, she has never done this before, she stamped her foot and was shouting and then sat down and rolled on the floor.
Some lovely chinese tourists were walking past at the time and they thought it was hilarious and stood around watching her!! When she noticed she went really quiet and had the grace to look a bit ashamed of herself, but it stopped her in her tracks.
She got a little upset though when she realized that during her tantrum she had rolled in seagull poo!!! That will teach her.

beautyqueen26 (9134) | 2 years ago | Oh my! I can't imagine mine would roll on the ground outside, she hates germs. That would freak her out. But, I guess life is a learning lesson best taught through experience.
My own child is going through similar difficulties. One of my OB/GYN's was telling me (before my child was born) that he had three daughters and they get sassy acting long before they hit their teen years. So, I was kind of prepared for some of her attitude.

beautyqueen26 (9134) | 2 years ago | That's adorable! Sounds like my little girl. She is super tidy and keeps everyone, including the cats in their place. Sometimes I find her scolding her dolls and telling them to behave. She will be an excellent mom, because she has the perfect balance of brains and heart. Be well.

beautyqueen26 (9134) | 2 years ago | Mine has attitude to spare! I did not know little girls would have so much sass and attitude in them. But I am so happy for her. Mine is frustrating at times and I just have to stand back and let her do her own thing. Of course, I do set the limits to protect her safety. But, if it's something that I can safely just let go on, I find that me and the little girl have no issues or arguments. Mine loves her freedom. Honestly, I mine sees herself as a grown up and doesn't even make the distinction between herself and me.

beautyqueen26 (9134) | 2 years ago | That is so cute and precious! I hope you don't mind me saying so. He is a darling! My little girl is always chastizing the kitten and telling her the same thing. Literally she says, "Behave or I'll put you in time out!" I thought mine was the only one that did that. Your little one sounds like he has two very responsible and mature role models. He'll turn out just fine. Be well. Thanks for adding something wonderful to the conversation.

beautyqueen26 (9134) | 2 years ago | Tee hee! I'm not telling. Mine is the same way though. I can imagine that my little girl is just practicing for adulthood when she has her own kids. I guess some kids are that way. And, it's a good thing. The next generation (their kids) will benefit. Thanks for dropping by to chat with us, today!
