Oh my! That's tough to take in. Time is hooked to a warp drive, methinks.

i don't really remember that show all that much, even though Jerry is only 6 years older than me.

As that show was not on TV when I was little I never watched it. It fact I never even saw a TV set until I was 12 or 13. Since living in the States I have heard more about the mother being the perfect Stepford mom than the son.

I hated it, I did kind of like Dennis the Menace. I don't care for most sitcoms.

My kids love that show..along with I Love Lucy and the Honeymooners! I guess that is why the decided to do a school project on television and how it has changed over the years! YOu could actually sit with your child and not be uneasy or embarrassed by what was being done or said! I wish it were still that way!

That was a cute show. i dont think it was very true to life even in those days ,but it was simple and sweet like Andy of Mayberry. Everybody knows what you mean when you say he's like the Beav or he's an Eddie Haskell.

He is not much older than me. I do not know where the last twenty or so years have gone, but they are gone. I do not know if I would want to be a kid again. I did not get to watch it growing up, mom did not care for it. I have watched lots of reruns ever since then, though.

old tv - 1950s style TV
Sixty, huh? I always thought he was the same age as me, but I guess not. (I'm only 56.) Yeah, I used to watch Leave It To Beaver. I mean, who didn't back then? There were only 12 channels on the TV, and not all of them worked everywhere, or all the time. Cable had not been invented yet.
