When Quilting, do you use Fat Quarters?

I've never seen feedsack cloth on flour bags before. I love old clothes quilts because I have so many memories saved in the quilt then.

There is a fabric line now that has reproduced many of the patterns that might have been used on feed sacks years ago. The fabrics are really sweet! Any quality quilt shop would probably carry them.:)

i had seen some calico prints awhile back,i couldn't believe they were used on feedbags,they were so pretty.

That's really cool. I'm going to have to look into those fabrics next time I buy for a new project. I love quilting its...relaxing until my machine misbehaves.

Interfacing to reinforce the fabric? I had never thought of that! I'll be borrowing that idea thank you! I usually just dont use the really weak areas of the fabrics. Memory quilts are so nice.

I use alot of jeans for jeans blankets. Then i use the jean blankets for beach blankets as they are really really durable to the sand and other stresses.

I'm not too sure what the foundation method is...so i cant say if i dont use it.

I hadnt thought if it being less wasteful - However i tend to use alot of my "waste" bits for little things like barbie quilts and such for my sister's dolls.
