What would be you answer? Mine is, it is half-filled. Because we should what is good. WE must not see what is lacking but what is present. Why? Because we must think positively.

if i say that i see the glass half empty, would that classify me as a pessimist? i don't consider myself as a pessimist rather a realist. (like that mentioned by the previous poster). that has been my stand for a long (well, everytime that this question about half filled, half empty arises). i don't want to place myself in the pedestal just to pulled down and land on the ground face first. but i do agree that most people (including myself) can be sometimes too worried of doors closing that we cannot see the windows opening.

i guess ur just worried of what will happen next. But u should not compromise of what is in the present. Enjoy life. You have no time but today. :)

half full, half empty - it's a question of semantics i should say. why should we equate our level of contentment with that of something that occupies space or vessel? or why should our outlook on life be related to this? a common question that elicits responses that could border on philosophical or religious even. though, your attempt to start a discussion with this question may have been successful, i suppose.

it all depends...you could have (if it is glass) twice as much glass as you have water :P. But the cup is always half-full for me, you can always do something more
