What's that old saying? Do unto others as they have done unto you. No, that ain't it.
I think you should at least tell your friend that you feel shat upon.
A little heads up that you don't appreciate what happened whatever it was.
It's not exactly a good habit to get into...Letting your friends or anyone else for that matter treat you badly.
Speak your truth.

Some friends just are'nt worth getting yourself annoyed about...I dont think you should try and get back at them because you'll be lowering yourself to there standard...

Don't let him get away with it, but don't seek revenge either. Just end the friendship. That way he won't be able to do it again, and he'll still pay for his mistake by losing you as a friend. You'll win in the end, for getting this loser out of your life. If he is going to act like that, he's really not a friend, and you don't need him.

I try not to descend to the level of others. Of course, not knowing what they did, makes this question hard to answer. There are some offenses that I do bite back. Or at least, burn the bridge and never associate with the offender ever again.
