I read that book not long ago and I know one day I will pick it up and read it again. It is a must read for anyone of any age.

this is such a good book, at recounting the events that were going to her nad her family.

I read this book on audio, and I would have to say, I highly recommend it. I didn't think it could possibly be interesting, written by a girl so young. But it was.

I quite agree with you that after reading such an amazing experiece of Anne,and after showing much sympathy and regret,we must realise how lucky we are today at a peaceful environment,which becomes far more valuable,and will make us cherish our present happy lives more.So it is really a wonderful book that will improve one's attitude towards life.

I read the book many years ago when I was young and again in midlife. It is such a heart wrenching story. If I recall it was two related families held up in the attic. Difficult enough to live in fear for your life with no knowledge of what is going on in the outside world, every sound sending terror through your body, but also having to blend so many personalities day after day and try to coexist.

Yes, Anne's story is a sad story but also one of courage. It is a story of what war does to the human race, of what one madman can spring on the world if given too much control.

We are reminded of how lucky we are that we have been spared, however, it could happen to us. Are we prepared, do we see the signs. Do we pay close attention to who we put in office. These are things all people must consider when choosing our elected officers. It only took one maniac to turn Germany into a killing machine that tortured many, many people...young and old.
