For all of you who have read or about to read about the new "national ID cards" that the USA is going to issue everyone soon. Here is link for those who haven't read about this card.
http://i-know-do-you-know.blogspot.com/2008/02/national-id-card.html
As you may know some states have declined the use of these cards and if given the choice I think it is for good reason. They may sound good but when you read what they can do against you , then you may change your mind. Read this article on this blog and then let me know what you think about our new ID cards the government is trying to force us to carry. This is just another way for the government to invade on our privacy.

Oh My! This is just the beginning of the prediction.
Soon they will want to implant them under the skin of all people.
Sounds like the "mark of the beast"
I hear they are going to do this to prisoners so they can find them
no matter where they try to run off to. Wouldn't be so bad if these
were the only ones who had to have them but they want everyone to have them.
It takes away our freedom and that is why Main said no to this idea months ago.
Wont this act violate our constitution?

Nope, Big Brother is not going to be able to keep tabs on me if I can help it. Don't get me started on what I believe the future intent of the world's governments are with chip technology because it makes me sound like a paranoid nut but it's coming true. I read a prediction over ten years ago that has turned out to be right on target so far. Implant chips in pets first to get people used to the idea, move on to the elderly and children for *safety reasons* and then on to the general population for convenience. Make it a requirement so that you can't get paid, pay bills or make purchases without having the chip implanted. Then government agencies can know where you are at all times. The whole thing makes me nervous.

But do you realize that some thought this was a good idea?
I don't think they even thought about what this could and would lead to.
It is so like something from the Twilight Zone, it is scary.
I sure hope the state of Florida has the guts and the sane mind to say "NO"
like Maine and some other states. At least they have given each state a choice.
I just hope the people have a say in this choice and continue to do so.

I already thing they have them in our passports. As far as ID, if you think about it there is a magnetic strip (most states have them, some don't) that holds all the information about the license..that's why some clubs and stores swipe the ID so they can verify the Date of Birth.
I don't like where technology is going in regards to making everything digitalized they want to replace us as numbers and I don't even like that. I agree that it's bad for our privacy.
Cheers

Under the skin is what I am the most afraid of.
They say you wont be able to buy food or anything else without one.
To me that is in violation of our constitution.
But Bush had the audacity to say our constitution was "just a piece of paper"
Just shows how much he cares...

"Don't worry! Its for safety! And you be a good citizen for doing this! Big Brother loves you!" (/sarcasm)
I keep thinking that one day the US will be completely different. Its already changing, sliding, hurling itself into oblivion. One day soon enough, people individually will wake up and wonder..."Hey, where'd the country go? Didn't I have rights?" Well... most people might do that and in their own time. Others cheer on several self destructing changes like this one and there are even those that remain ignorant. The US will be completely different and the signs are already there. Gross perversion of society and education; decaying economy; jeopardized lifestyles for many of the citizenry; out of control government... This ID card and other events are on the way. I fear things will be very dark... very soon.

Hi Kowgirl I have heard about these cards coming out here in England there was one city that tried them out apparently they have every single detail about you on them and you can carry no money only use your card to pay for things of which minizes crimes eg theft-I think it is tottally digusting as our whole privacy is invaded and and its as though our every move over here is watched because of the amount of cameras that are around-they reckon that you are zapped three hundred times a day-it makes you frightened to go out even-this whole world is getting worse all the time-will look up on your links though that should be even more interesting-your friend littleowl
