Has anyone experienced miscarriage from taking Vitamin C?  | |  My friend was taking lots of vitamin c and her doctor told her to stop taking it when she became pregnant, so she did. However, she still had a miscarriage. This was her first pregnancy and she is very upset, but she has learned much from it. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have done a little research since then and found some herbs NOT to take during pregnancy include:
Angelica/Dong Quai,
Blue COhosh and Black Cohosh varieties,
Pennyroyal,
and many others.
I was actually amazed at how many herbs are contraindicated during pregnancy and thought I would share this knowledge just in case others didn't know. You can do a search to find out more about this. (I receommend using http://www.Goodsearch.com so you can donate to your favorite charity while searching!) Some technical terms are: emmenagogue and oxytocic herbs.

Yes moderation is the key...as far as herbs go yes there are many that are not safe for pregnant ladies. this dicussion is out of my legue so Best for the future of your friend likely she can get pregant again and beforehand stay off the vit. C...i think natural forms such as oranges r probubly safer than any of the consintated forms man made of anything...God created no bad drug. This it says in the cathalic bible in the book of wisdom,,,but what man creates is a different story!
