 Yesterday,it was the Dragon Boat Festival of our Chinese nation,which is the traditional festival and has a long long history with many traditons.for example,eating zongzi(paramid-shaped grutinous rice balls wrapped in leaves),drinking rice wine,making xiangdai(sachets of ground traditional chinese medicine) and dragon boat racing.

Though I have never attended one, I have seen them on television and found them to be breathtakingly beautiful. I am hopeful that all had a great time. Boat racing is so integral to the southern part of India too, it’s a big and prestigious festival here. I did not know that the Chinese had something similar and that also so ancient. It is indeed a very colourful sight and all the beautiful boats decked out and the boatmen raring to go against each other. So how many zongzi did you eat? Were they all home-made with different stuffings? Yummmmmmmm, wish I could try some!
I also read that you try to stand an egg on its head exactly at 12 noon and that brings good luck for the coming year! Could you do that?
