Did you know that presidents still earn a salary even after their term ends?

The current presidential salary is $400,000 per year. The president
also receives a $50,000 non-taxable expense account.
The current pension for former presidents is $171,900 as well as various other entitlements for expenses and services.
Do you think this is fair? I had no idea they still got paid for being president after their term is over.

what, that is not fair! I don't mind the men and women who serve our country getting paid after the war is over and all. but the president, he already get such a huge paycheck why does he need to be paid after his term anyways.
No wonder the nation is in so much debt.

I think Presidents and Prime Ministers should get a wage like everyone else with out the perks they get and without the extras when they leave their job, we all should stand up ans say everyone should have the sameterms of employment, what is good enough for them is good enough for all workers, how dare they give themselves all the extra perks just because they can vote it for themselves....geees i would certainly change things if I was in power, but then I reckon they would get rid of me pretty quick...

I didn't know that. I think that is rediculous actually. they are not in office anymore and no longer hold that position. I don't think that is fair at all. We don't get anything after we leave our job, in most cases. We have to work to get more money. nothing is ever handed to us and if it is, it is taxed like crazy!
