Growing up most of us had something we were afraid of, either monsters, the boogie man or gouls. My children are afraid of gauly waugles. To teach them to come in before it got dark, we told them that the gualie waugles would come out, get them to play with them and lead them away from the house. Then the gauly waugles would disappear, leaving them lost and they would have to try and find their way home. As I write this it sounds like an awful thing we did, but my kids' were always in the house before dark. I told them to watch for the street lights to come on and then it was time to come in. Now, they are much older and have children of their own, they too are afraid of gauly waugles and don't stray to far. Do you have any things you were afraid of growing up and what did you call them.

Back then when I was young my grandparents always tell the story of a so called tambaloslos. It appears at night and smile at you but the weird part is that its smile streaches from ear to ear and its not good looking either... they say that it would eat you and be lost in darkness.
