Swimming can be painful

Yesterday we took the kids to the river and spent the day there. It was so much fun splashing around in the water and swimming. The kids had a blast and so did the hubby. I had fun until I accidently kicked my stepdaughter. No, I didn't kick her hard, more like I was bringing my foot up to my tummy and I hit her. Luckily it didn't hurt her at all, but I hit just right that it sent two of my toes backwards. And don't you know it was the same foot with the seperated bones, and right at the seperation. It sent sharpe pains all the way up my leg. I am so angry about it, not at my step daughter because it wasn't her fault, it was mine. But I was at that point where it didn't really hurt any more and I could get around, for the most part, without my cane or boot. Now I am back to having to wear my boot and use my cane whenever I walk or go somewhere. I will be taking the wheel chair this weekend to Disney as I won't be able to walk around all day. Has anything like this every happen to you?

That is really bad. I hope that it won't give you too much trouble a Disney.

I hope not too. I am going to take my wheelchair so that I don't have to walk on it and make it worse. As much as I didn't want to, I know I need to.

I am sure that at sometime in my past, something similar hs happened. I can't for the life of me think of one right now. I will keep thinking though and come back to this discussion if I think of something.

Ouch! That sounds bad. I hope you recover quickly! I've hit my foot while diving before and bent my toes, but not backwards. Instead they just bent in a very odd formation and it took awhile to get them back in place. Until they were back in place, it was very painful. But I'm not sure if that is really swimming related or not, because ever since I did that, I've done that to both my feet doing things out of water as well. My feet just get stuck sometimes and it hurts really bad until they go back. Maybe it's just a side effect of having horribly narrow feet.

I hope my foot heals quickly too, but it took six months for it to get to where I was. That sounds painful as well. I think once you hurt something, you are just constantly hurting it, even though you try not to.

Ouch Angel. I am just getting over a broken little toe. I kicked my granddaughters bed walking by it. I sure feel for you. Isn't it odd how you can have a body part hurt and that is the place everyone wants to bump, step on or that you yourself are bumping and knocking it around? Hope it gets better for you soon. Sorry about the wheel chair, but this might be a blessing..LOL

I know! When I first hurt my foot six months ago everyone including myself was constantly bumping it, stepping on it, and everything. I was actually doing real well until yesterday. My husband seems to think we will get through the lines quicker with me being in the chair, but I was hoping to be able to walk instead of ride. Oh well, at least if my kids start to get tired they can take turns sitting in my lap. lol
