Just looking to see how many other Journey fans are lurking around myLot. Have you picked up the new CD/DVD package "Revelation"? What do you think of it? I'm still waiting (impatiently!) for mine to arrive in the mail but it should be here any day now. I've already heard all the tracks and I'm just loving them. I don't think I can pick a favorite yet in the new material but I love "Change for the Better" and "Wildest Dream"... ahhh I love 'em all really. So what about it? Anyone up for Journey discussion? LOL

If you're still reading, I'm curious to know what you think about the new album and the reviews Journey is getting for that and their live shows. It seems, on this new one, that it's becoming "The Neal Schon Show" and not much about the band as a whole. I've been reading reviews that say Neal is doing too many extended guitar solos and audiences are not taking to that very kindly. Plus the new album has a much heavier sound... generally not what their most devoted fans are looking for when buying a Journey album.

I am listening to journey right now, called Lights. i am a journey fan, and i dont intend on picking up the new album, i liked it when steve perry was the lead singer, though i do like Arnel, he kinda in a way sounds like steve! I am one of the journey fans that are lurking about.

Hey carrotman! Nice to meet another fan :))) I just listened to a live performance online last weekend - they played Donington Park at the Download Festival. I thought Arnel's voice was sounding strong but Ross was looking a little aged and tired, I thought :( In any case I love "Lights"! Probably one of their best known songs of all time I'd imagine.

I'm here and a Journey fan,
I can't bring myself to buy the album without Steve Perry though it's just not Journey without him. The kid they've got to replace him is good but it's just not the same. I'm waiting to buy the old greatest hits DVD as soon as I get my money, I'll certainly be dancing round the living room playing air guitar when I do.
