Do you like Crab Rangoon?

Whenever I get Chinese food I always get an order of Crab Rangoon. My kids and I both love it. There is this one place that my brother goes to that has the best Crab Rangoon that I have ever tasted. Do you like Crab Rangoon? Have you ever tried to make it at home? If so, how did it turn out?

You probably have never heard of them because you live in China. Crab Rangoon is actually what is considered an American Chinese dish. It is served in just about every Chinese restaurant in the US, but it originated in the US. They are wonton wrappers that are filled with cream cheese and crab meat and deep fried.

OMG, I love this stuff...in fact I posted for a recipe for a few chinese recipes and some people helped me out. I have not tried it yet, but plan on it soon.

I would love to be able to learn how to make this stuff. Every time I go to a chinese restaurant, I always get crab rangoon. We have a few places in the area that have really good chinese, so it gives us options.

Here is a recipe I want to try. It got some good reviews. Crab Rangoon Ingredients * 1 (6 ounce) can crabmeat * 6 ounces cream cheese, room temp * 1/2 tablespoon minced garlic * 1 dash worcestershire sauce * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1 dash white pepper * wonton skins * 1 beaten egg * deep frying oil Directions 1. Pick over the crab to remove pieces of shell. 2. Use only about 1/2 t of filling for each wonton. 3. Seal edges with beaten egg. 4. Make sure you squeeze out all the air or they'll pop open during frying and make a real mess! 5. Deep fry at 350ยบ until golden brown and crispy. 6.
