Keeping love alive. I think we've found a way. | | My husband and I watched a program about happiness and the lecturer suggested thinking of one thing that your' spouse/partner said or did during the day that reminded you of why you love them and then telling each other what that thing was each night before bed. We have been doing this for about a week now and it's the neatest thing! I am amazed at the small things that he appreciates (I didn't know that he even noticed!) and I have started to look forward to bed time when we can tell each other our 'thing' for the day. It's hard to go to bed angry when you are telling each other why you love them.

It helps to feel loved and happy with each other. Dont just keep it to yourselves because no matter how much you appreciate it, if you dont tell, no one else knows

You know, when two people have been in love and been living together in the bond of marriage for many years, it's inevitable that some differences will pop up in spite of their love for each other, which will tend to make the relationship bitter. And more often than not, this leads to their estrangement and they are no longer two souls merged into one. They don't know how to refresh the relationship and so they start falling apart. That's the most heart-wrenching thing to happen. Your suggested way can be the best way to "keep love alive", as you have put it. It's really nice to be appreciated you know, even for the small things which you do. It encourages us to be nice also to the person who praises us. And in that mutually satisfying process, love is preserved. Good of you to implement this in your life. I hope all others who aren't finding any interest in their love life would also follow your example. Do reply wwith your views. Cheers.

RebeccaLynn (738) | 3 months ago | We have been married for 14 years and after a while when you get busy with children and work and responsibility, you tend to lose that closeness that you once shared. Since we have been doing this, I feel closer to him than ever and I find that I am looking for things that I love about him during the day just so I can tell him before bed. And I am excited to hear what things he has to say about why he loves me. When you are looking for the positve things in each other, the negative things don't seem so bad. I'm glad that we found this!

And Rebecca, you are very happy after marrying for 14 years, your husband's still keeping tell you his love each night before going to sleep. I bet you must have a good sleep. Good luck
