I want to wean my daughter off her sippy cup. Do I just take it away from her cold turkey and deal with the tantrums that follow? My other children never had a sippy cup. She refuses to drink out of a big girl cup. I bought her a cool Cinderella cup but that has not helped either. I am afraid this sippy cup is going to cause her to have bad teeth. Do you have any Idea's?

Wean her off slowly, maybe tell her that she can have her sippy cup at breakfast, lunch and dinner but any other time she has to have a big girls cup. If she has a tantrum, leave her dont respond to her tantrum. Let her that if she wants a drink its in the cup for her. Once she realises that she its not time for her sippy cup she will start to use the big cup.
After she has got used to using the big cup, slowly get her to use it during the times that she had her sippy cup!!!
Maybe get her to choose her 'special' big cup!!!
Good luck.
