Okay I do a lot of gardening etc. But I also get a lot of plants, flowers etc from friends. I recieved this last year. I can not recall if it flowers though. I am in Minnesota so this survived the winter here. It is very pretty. but I have no idea as to what it is. Anyone have an idea of it's idenity at all? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks all. It sort of looks like grass that grew a little too long! I don't know really anything about gardening. But it is pretty! Have you tried your searching for your state's wildflowers and ornamental grasses?

could it be some kind of lily? Not really sure about it. I have some weeds that I won't bother to pull up because I know that some could be flowers.

Okay, here I am in e-mail as usual. I will go look and see what you have. I may or may not be able to help. I love this kind of a challenge, though. I also get to learn a lot if I do any research on it. The other thing I like is learning what things are called other places, like your "seedum" is my stone crop or houseleek, or live forever, but live forever is someone else's hen and chicks. Sedum to me is a moss like ground cover that is succulent. Enough babbling I am sure, let's go see what my Minnesota pal has now.

I know what you are talking about, it is just what we call things varies from place to place. Next trip to Minnesota I will bring you a variegated house leek--which is the same thing as your seedum, just a different nme. Mine are a light green and white leaves and has light pink flowers.

I checked the link you added above and it isn't that one. Seedum here is not moss like. It has the rubbery leaves sort of like Aloe or a cactus etc. then it has small dot like flowers all in one large clump when fully bloomed. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Haven't got to talk on here for awhile, hope I was missed by someone.. I had 999 emails to sort through but I am back up and running again, so expect to start hearing from me again.. Judging from the picture, it might be some type of ornamental grass.. I don't know anything about anything when it comes to plants but I do have some ornamental grass, it does take up room, (less mowing for us) and it also looks pretty good when it starts filling out and covering the ground.. easy maintainence also.. Have a great evening and good luck finding out what it is, let us know when you do..

Good to see ya back. What kept you away anyhow if I may ask? I asm thinking it is some type of grass as well. It is in an area with a thick layer of plastic under the gravel as weed protectant so I do not know if it will spread or not. Thanks and welcome back as well. You were missed trust me. Sorry, I can't tell you, but it will definitely flower! Everything flowers, that much I DO know... even grass. It's just that something aren't in favorable enough conditions to flower. I've even had snake plants (Mother-in-Law's Tongue) blossom! But, I'm like you... I'll wait and keep an eye on this post to see if anyone else is willing to do the legwork to get you an answer. Also, I have many, many "mutant weeds" on my property called peppermint! Want some of those? Oh, and wild blackberry bushes! Well, I'm not sure if they're blackberry or dewberry (because they're more like vines than bushes), but they're definitely wild, AND producing berries! I had originally thought they were wild raspberries, but then I remembered that wild raspberries have reddish stems... these don't. Better yet, you can come on down to ol' Virginny and dig 'em up yourself! The waiting for a blossom is terrible sometimes, isn't it? I hope someone comes up with an answer for you!

I've plenty of mint and my Red Rasberries are thriving well. Take the mint and place it in a container garden then spray the area to kill all life there. I plan on doing my mont that way next year. We pick a few leaves each day for adding to our tea. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I wish I could! Apparently, the previous owners planted it awhile ago and it has spread all throughout the property! I'm talking 3 1/2 acres!!! I just pull up what I can and mow the rest down. It sure smells nice on grass cutting day, though!

I looked up a few plants I thought it might be, but the leaves were a little different. I think you have an errant stalk of some kind of weedy grass. Time will tell if you have the patience to let it be.

I've never seen that before. You'd have to tell me. I am not good with plants. Tomato plants, I know. But not this. Will be fun finding out. Be well! Have a blessed day.

No clue, I kill everything I touch. So I'm envious of all good gardeners out there. Pretty though.
