Are you tired of people?

I was thinking about it and I'm really tired of people. I need a break from the human race. I have been told many times by people that other people wanted my help, only to find that they didn't want my help at all. The resented my having anything to do with them. Right now I'm in sales and I'm just tired of people. I'm all "peopled-out." Do you ever feel that way?

Personally, I get tired of all the "me me me" mentality these days. Most people are out for themselves, and they don't care about others the way I wish more people did. Selfishness is running rampant these days. Not to mention poor customer service. Sometimes I really do get tired of dealing with people who don't know how to treat others with respect.

I know, I wait on people hand and foot, and if I'm not fast enough, the person I just said sir or ma'am to starts screaming at me. Thanks for your response. Take care

First question: I thought I wrote a pretty good list of why I was tired of people above. Second questiong: Yes, I am tired of me, too, sometimes. Then I go do bed. Good question.

OMG yea I get like that every few months...but I'm the type of person who ppl DO want my help and they all seem to want it at the same time LOL so I get overwhelmed and peopled-out every few months..When I get like that I like to go MIA..I dont take phone calls, dont email ppl or respond to emails etc etc....BUT when I DO take my breaks I let ppl know that I'm doign it and they are usually pretty cool about it..

My immediate family was like that, until I had my car accident, then I had to tell them to find someone else to help them for awhile. But I've had jobs where I was supposed to help people and they were supposed to want the help. Only to find out they didn't want help. So I've seen your side of this, too. Thanks and take care.

Yes I am in human resources, and so it's very related to the human race. Well, after talking to people day and night, sometimes I just want to sit in my room and be totally left out by the world! I don't even feel like talking or meeting another human being sometimes.

Exactly! Except that I can go for a walk in my woods.

Oh yes, I've felt that way, several times in my life - "peopled-out", that's a good way of putting it. I've also come to realize that the "cure" for that are other people - the kind that can lift you up, help you out.

If that cure works for you. I go for walks in the woods. I don't want people at all when I'm "peopled-out." I'm entirely peopled-out. I want animals and plants, trees, nature, etc. Only exception is my husband, after I've been in nature for awhile. Thanks for your perspective, it's a different one. Take care
