Pepsi

I have considered diet Pepsi myself as much as I hate the taste of diet drinks, ersmommy, but there are a lot of problems associated with diet drinks as well, so I have decided not to go with that.

Believe me, lilybug, there seems to be a growing list of things I have to adapt to. I never dreamed this would be so hard. On the bright side, I am losing weight nicely.

I absolutely hate the taste of diet sodas, hockeygal, and I also believe they are dangerous to your health.

Then you know what I'm talking about, sarah! I've just been thinking, "There goes my life!" I have found it far easier to give up the sweets than anything else, but I still have to have a little bit of sugar in my coffee. I figure it might balance out if I continue to stay away from the cookies and cakes and candy.

You should avoid fried foods as much as possible anyway, jer, because they can wreak havoc on your gallbladder(as I discovered some years ago). If you learn to be a creative cook there are some excellent ways to create great dishes without frying.

My wife is very good about cooking foods other than frying. We eat mostly baked foods, though it was not easy for me, having grown up in the south where fried food is a way of life. We do still occasionally have fried food, but it is very seldom.

It's very tough whenever you have to give up something that you love to eat or drink, jmcabular, but we all have to look at the big picture and the health benefits to be gained.
