Will the world end at december 1012?  

this is not true, no one knows when the end of the world is, even the angels in heaven didn't know when.. & why people are in a hurry of the armageddon? why, do you want to end your life so soon??

Only God knows when the world will end and I doubt he told the Mayans or Aristotle, for that matter. People have been talking about the end of the worlk probably since people learned to communicate in the first place so I don't take any of these dire predictions seriously.

I dont know to much about what nasa has said, However I do believe that these are the End Times. If you've read revelation a lot of things are happening in our world that matches, Floods, earthquakes and so on those are just a few. The world isnt they way it is. Will it be in 1012 I dont really think so but I think it could very possibly be within the next couple of generations. Just my opinion. Thanks have a good day!

Okay, the Mayan calendar has sort of been reconstructed. Therefore, it could be 2012, it could be this year. They didn't go by our calendar years and nobody is around to really explain it all. Some of the information has been lost. Archeologists were able to reconstruct some of it and align the Mayan calendars predictions and events with things that really happened. And what ever predictions could be made of it (good and bad) can be lined up with events that happened in the Mayan culture. But we also know the Mayan calendar is perpetual. The majority of archeologists believes that the end of the world indication really was just a prophecy that something big will happen that will change the world as we know it, but it will not be the end of the world as in end-end. They point out that the Mayan calendar has many loops and this is just another startover of the calendar. Furthermore, the Mayans didn't even foresee their own demise really, lol. Although proponents of the end of the world as in end-end theory artfully 'prove' they may have known.

Quite frankly, there is always some sort of end of the world theory floating around. Did they come true yet? No. But many believers lost their lifes because their 'leader' talked them into suicide or conducted a mass killing. I wouldn't want to spend my life fearing some end of the world scenario...
