Did you have an episiotomy during your delivery (in case of a normal delivery)

Yes, I had an episiotomy with my first born. I wanted the delivery to be completely natural. However, I would not cooperate like everyone told me to. My baby's heart rate started to slow down. I was willing to cooperate at that point, but I the doctor decided to give me that little cut to help with the delivery process. I don't even think she asked. She just said she was going to do it.
With my youngest son he came out so fast there was no time for anything! LOL

I have had two children and I didn't have to have an epistotomy with either of them. My doctor does a masageing tecinque that helpe prevent those and it works! I am sooo glad I didn't have one I heard they hurt.

hi i have given birth naturally twice and never had an episiotomy altho i wished they had given me one on the first labour as i ripped really bad and i think it would have been a hell of a lot less painfull to have an episiotomy, it took ages for the tear to heal as they never gave me stitches either.
my second labour was quick easy and not painfull, i didnt have any tears or stiches and it was a fantastic experience.

I gave birth to four children and had an episiotomy with each delivery, except for #3 who was born in the car. My OB doctor told me each time that I was ready to tear and that would be more difficult to heal. I did tear with the one born in the car so I guess the doctor know what he was talking about.
