What seperates a friend from a best friend?

I tend to tell them everything & not hold back. we just have a different kind of relationship. I hold them closer to my heart too. I do not let very many people get that close to me. I have been burned to many times by so called friends.

The word "BEST" is differentiate between freind & BEST friend.

I could talk everyting to my best friend, but can just talk somthing to a friend.

the best friend can understand you eventhough you rarely call them or send a messages, they are always there, waiiting for you. but you may lose a friend if you don't keep in touch with them.

best friend could talk frankly to your mistake to help you to correct it, but a friend may think of whether you can accept it.

just my opinions.

I've always thought a best friend was someone you could tell absolutely anything too and you love them and accept them with their flaws and all and they do the same for you. Your best friend is always there for you when you need them in your time of need and you are there for them too, same.

the different between my best friend and my friends. with my best freind he always been there for me through some pretty rough times with me dealing with bipolar and depression.
he had seen my good times and bad times. seen me break down and cry, without judging me but just gave me a hug. calling him when the depression kicks in, so he can remind me how bless i am.
he was the one who stayed through all this when everyone else ran from me. he;s the one when my kids need someone to talk to, he;s the one.
he always came to help all hour at night or day.

yes you are right, for me a true friend shares the same feelings and thoughts with you, whether you are near or far from each other. time and distance is not a hindrance as a matter of fact it makes you more closer to each other.
