Scooby Doo...WHERE ARE YOU?

This was taken Friday here at the Back to the 50's Car Show in Minnesota. It is a replica of the Scooby Doo cartioon van, Mystery Machine. It's a 1960 VW van with nearly 4 feet cut from the frame. In the back are a lot of Scooby Doo memorabelia itmes like lunch box, toy van, etc etc. This was a big attraction for the kids attending the show. Including old kids like myself. This is my neice and I once again. I had a great time there even with the high humidity and heat.

Wow it sure sounded like you had a great time at the car show. I would have loved to go. Did you get to meet Scooby Doo? I would have loved to meet Scooby hes my hero.

Nope. This is a vehicle that is used for charities but this day it was in competition not for charity and Scooby was busy I guess.

ROOOOOOOOOVERRRRRRRRR HEREEEEEEEEEE Shaggy. I love Scooby Doo as well and used to have a metal lunch box of their's when I was a kid. I cherished that lunch box and cried for days when the school bus ran over it when it slipped out of my hand while getting off at school. It went right under the tire and I was the last kid off the bus. The driver started moving forward but was too late and flattened it to a pancake.

Here's a photo of some of the items they had on display.
Of course the theme song was playing loudly as well. Later that evening my neice had a drink at a bar called "Scooby Snack" Don't ask me what's in it as I don't drink and never thought to ask. Poor lunch box got squished. Look at this one and recall your childhood then. Hee hee.

Every kid, grandkid, niece and nephew i have would love to see that. my 13y/o son walked up behind me when the picture was loaded and squealed like a girl "let's go see it" and of courser if i was bewitched i would just wiggle my nose and we'd be there!

nice ride.
big fan of scooby doo myself. i still wear my scooby doo socks whenever i get a chance. these are black knee high socks that have a picture of scooby doo.

I think its a nice car show and looks like you have fun and of course with that Scooby van, its exciting.
I remember watching watching scooby doo on B$W tv when I was young and even without the colors I had fun watching it. Its a good cartoon!

I used to love that show as well. I saw the movies as well. HAHAHAHA! I loved when they added Scrappy Doo to the cast.

I love to go to car shows and especially look at the cars from the 50's! I just don't get to do it very often. I bet the kids were intrigued with the Scooby Doo Van. That is a totally different idea! Best wishes Grandpa Bob!

I saw one of those last year at the state fair down there! I thought it was just so cool. I also think all the snoopy statues around St. Paul are soooo cute. I used to love scooby doo and have actually gotten to see some of older shows of it recently on retro tv.
