I have this problem for a long time. But seriously it is annoying. Do any of you have this problem? I have not seen the doctor about it. I asked my family members about it and they told it is the soap. I used dettol and dova soap but there is no change. Do any of you have natural treatment or cure for this.

First off, I would ask if you have any other skin conditions, ie; psoriasis etc.? That not being the case, what about water temp.? Soap is the obvious question...too harsh, would dry out the skin. Have you tried super fatted soaps or glycerin based? In some cases, if you are really bothered, you could try a tar-based soap used for conditions like psoriasis. You can find these products in health food stores or in catalogs such as vermont country store. (you can order that one free on-line) Hope this is somewhat helpful to you!

No i do not have any skin conditions. There a few people who adviced my to use liquid soap to bath. And also that it is the minty or cooling type. THey say that my body temperature is high.

if you do not have any skin conditions such as excema and you have changed your soap to a sensetive one i would be inclined to think it is the tempreture of the water, if you have your bath very hot it can aggrivate and raise your blood presure causing you to itch, i have had this before so i do now how you feel.
i would try having a cooler bath and see if that helps
if all else fails go and see your doctor
good luck.

Yeah i tried to take cooler bath but still no there is no change. In fact, i was told it is my body temperature. And i should make sure i bath in water that more or less doesnt have much heat. But i have not tried it, i mean it is tedious.

You could be allergic to the soap you are using try using a differnt brand or using a soap for people with senstive skin. You could also have really dry skin which the water would make it itch. Do you have any skin condiosins liek psorrisis? I would talk to a doctor if I were you.

The itch may be just because you skin is dry, or it could be that the water has a lot of minerals in it (hard water). If the hard water is the problem try putting a cup of apple cider vinegar in your bath water. It won't be a very strong smell in a whole bath and the smell won't stay on your skin very long after it dries.

I would also say to try to drink at least 4 oz of water every hour from 8 am to 6 pm to help hydrate your cells. Sometimes skin problems start on the inside. If you drink caffeinated drinks be aware that caffeine is dehydrating. Cut back on caffeine and sugar.

If you can find a NATURAL soap that doesn't have any fragrance in it that might also help. I make a goats milk with oatmeal and honey soap that people with dry or sensitive skin really say helps.

LOL Well can you at least cut back and add a LOT more water? I didn't quit drinking coffee, but just by adding the 4 oz of water every hour, I saw a difference in my skin in about 3 days. I didn't have itchy skin, but it was dry and flaky.

Try a glycerine based soap. That is what I have to use in the winter or I itch to death. I also use tons of lotions. I will scratch my shins until they bleed if I don't.

lilypad 123 hi why not use liquid soap like clairoils herbal essence body wash in any scent you want its all natural and does not irritate your skin as it washes off in the shower.Dettol sometimes is irritating for some people.
