Help Needed. Medieval War Movies - What Genre Or Category?

Can anyone help me out? I love movies like Braveheart, King Arthur, Alexander, Troy, Nomad, Kingdom Of Heaven these type of movies. What kind of genre or category are they in? Any idea? I tried to google Medieval War Movies but it seems I can't find a list. Any suggestions? I love modern war movies as well but I'm searching particularly for medieval stuff now. Thanks in advance for the help!~

You should try searching for fantasy, or war movies.
Type in a few of the titles you know and see the genre and go on from there.
If not, try wikipedia and do the same. They usually will have a genre for the movies that are in their database.
Otherwise, you can try going to movieDB and do a search there to see if you got any hits.

Hey thanks. I did try movieDB earlier before you mentioned & also Wikipedia. I tried War movies & most of them that came out was modern war movies. I found the movies I'm most looking for is in Action / Adventure. Fantasy would come out more like LOTR & that kinda stuff which I'm not really interested. Thanks for the pointers, appreciate it very much!~

Generally, all those movies can be counted amongst the Adventure genre. Still, some of them as Alexander, Gladiator, or Kingdom of Heaven, are set in a real historic background. If some scripts only would show a little bit more respect of history, those movies could be classified as "historic".

Yeah I know there's actually a mix there. Some are based on history some are just not. Troy, Alexander, Julius Caeser, Joan Of Arc & all these are from one group. Whereas the others are in a group of it's own. Thanks for the links, will check it out later as I'm going out soon. Will let you guys know the outcome

All excellent movies that you listed.These kind of movies would be listed under the action category.Because when I look for movie posters.I have seen all of these movies under that category.Here is a link to help you out.
