I have been potty training my daughter who is almost 3 (she will be 3 in July). We've gotten peeing in the potty down pat, but have yet to to do #2 consistently in the potty. She has been peeing in the potty for over six months. Every once in a while she will go a couple of days in a row, but then she stops and she acts absolutely terrified. I don't want to force her and I have tried to talk to her. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Yes ive had it with my eldest, I found the only thing that worked was plenty of praise and an incentive to try and use the potty. Also I found she would poo on the potty if I sat next to her and cuddled her it just needed that little extra to help her gain confidence in using the potty for pooing. Maybe try a reward chart for every time she poos in the potty and choose a special reward for when she goes in it every day for a week something fun for just the two of you? worth a try anyway also if she poos her knickers I found when my eldest was wetting that getting her some special knickers helped as she wanted to keep them clean, get some transfer paper and iron on her fav characters from tv worked a treat xx

You always have the best ideas!
I wish I'd been on MyLot when mine
was potty training. Mine never had
trouble doing the poo in the toilet.

She had that down from day one.
She did not like to wear a diaper
and then be in that.
So she learned the other right away.

But the pee part, was tough.
She wanted to use the toilet but was
so tiny and had trouble getting up on it.

But she wouldn't use the kid's potty.
So, she struggled to be dry during the daytime.

We didn't use Pull ups, cause they confused her.

We have stone tile floors, so it was easy clean up.

Now for night time potty training, we made sure
that she went to the bathroom several times before
bed and had no liquids for two hours before bedtime.

She was fully night time potty trained within two weeks.

Of course, that was the final part of potty training.

She was daytime potty trained a long time before
she got night time potty training.

Key was to cut out the sippy cup.
She used to try to take that to bed.

It was a mess!
